Taxacom: New or old news... virus nomenclature goes binomial

Interestingly, it seems that a single virus "species" can actually contain
several different "viruses". For example, according to Wikipedia, COVID-19
is caused by the virus "Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2"
which is different from "Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus";
however (unless I have it wrong) both seem to fall under under the same
species name "Severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus" in the
2022 ICTV list, see

Also for
what it's worth, that species does not yet have a binomial name, although
being in the genus Betacoronavirus, it will eventually have the scientific
name Betacoronavirus [something].

Others please feel free to correct me if I am wrong!

Regards - Tony
