Taxacom: Manuscript about nomenclatural stability: >1000 endorsers; still open for signatories

Dear friends and colleagues

In November last year, we posted a pre-print of a paper advocating for stability of nomenclature in the face calls for renaming taxa that have scientific names some people find offensive, or changing all names based on people:” Protecting stable biological nomenclatural systems enables universal communication”. This paper has been in review with a leading journal for about three weeks now. I am happy to announce that we already are >1000 people from 96 countries supporting our text about protecting nomenclatural stability. The paper is still open for endorsements. If you want to support our initiative, you will find a link in any of the following versions where you can become a signatory. Feel free to distribute our text to anybody who might not have seen it.
