Taxacom: technical term for wing morphology of a moth

I have a situation where in ghost moths the costal margin for most species
is 'smooth', without irregularities of shape. But there is one instance
where the costal margin is locally enlarged or protruding, about 2/3
distance from the wing base. In the past I have referred to this as a
lobate enlargement, but I was wondering if there might be floating around
somewhere a term for such a structure in some other insect by which I could
refer to this as a noun rather than as an adjective. I would be interested
in any thoughts about that.

If anyone needs to see a photo I can send that.

Thanks. John Grehan
