Taxacom: Taxacom Digest, Vol 192, Issue 15

John Grehan calabar.john at gmail.com

I couldn't agree more with the summary by Les. I get the impression that
relatively few have the time allocation to work intensively on taxonomy. It
was not until retirement that I could do anything much at all, even though
I was working in a museum setting. While employed, the other demands of my
positions meant, for example, that a fairly simple revision of about 7
species took 20 years to complete!

Ironically I now have the time, but not the resources. So taxonomic work
progresses, but quite slowly.
