Francis Crick had a reply card (this was during the 1960s) that he sent out to all his quests, as follows:
**********
Dr. Crick thanks you for your letter but regrets that he is unable to accept your kind invitation to
- send an autograph
- help you in your project
- provide a photograph or read your manuscript
- cure your disease
- deliver a lecture
- talk on the radio or act as chairman
- appear on TV or become an editor
Delete where appropriate.
************
All one needs is a standard file to copy and paste? Of course, there is always the block sender option, which I use regularly.
On we press with our research :)
cheers, Art Borkent

John, I agree that such soliciting is annoying, as it is a common practice of so called predatory journals (of which I get at least one, sometimes five a day). I am not sure if I ever got one from MDPI, but if I reject review requests because the manuscript was outside my expertise, I always got an apology from a managing editor. They are at least polite.
Since our institute bought a Keyence microscope, we get marketing emails from Keyence every week, sometimes several times, and often very pushy. This is annoying too, but the microscope is still the best part of equipment I have ever come across. I guess aggressive marketing is something we have to live with in a world ruled by money.

Subject: Taxacom: mdpi soliciting
By coincidence in reference to my recent comment about mdpi nuisance, here is another:
Dear Dr. Grehan,
A few weeks ago, we invited you to submit a paper *for free*, either a comprehensive review or an original research article, to Insects. The detailed email is as follows.
Could you please let us know if you are interested in this offer? If so, please provide the tentative title or abstract to me(mona.liu at mdpi.com) in advance. I would be delighted to provide you with guidance on how to fully prepare it and where to submit it. The submission time is flexible. If you need more time, please feel free to let me know.
We look forward to your reply.
To which I responded
"Not interested. And no more soliciting articles from mdpi"
We'll see if that is blunt enough.
