Taxacom: Question regarding priority of 2 family-group names in Cnidaria

A quick question, the answer to which may or may not save me bothering the
author of the relevant paper!

In WoRMS (World Register of Marine Species) Cnidaria section, the family
name Paramuriceidae Bayer, 1956 is listed as accepted,
with Acanthogorgiidae Gray, 1859 as a synonym, however Paramuriceidae (type
genus *Paramuricea *K?lliker, 1865) also includes the type of
Acanthogorgiidae which is *Acanthogorgia *Gray, 1857. My question is,
should not the earlier name ( Acanthogorgiidae) be the accepted name for
this (presumably enlarged) family, not the later name Paramuriceidae, based
on simple priority? If I am missing something here, I am happy to be
advised.

For information, the reference in which the type genera of the 2 families
are combined in a single family is McFadden et al., 2022, "Revisionary
