Taxacom: FW: published names without description

Oh, and I would not mention these names in a publication at this point, but you can refer to the abstract and the new zoogeographical record and say that there are species to be described. You would not refer to names that somebody mentions to you in an email, would you? For nomenclatural purposes, this is the same thing.
They might still get published. I just finished a manuscript with four new species more than 20 years after I coined the names for them. Sometimes it takes that long if life interferes.

My appreciation to all the responses, including a couple off list. My understanding, if correct, is that the abstract was not in a 'published'
venue in the sense of Article 8 because that venue was an electronic publication without ZooBank registration number (if it were in hardcopy, does it still have to require ZooBank number to be valid as an accepted form of publication?). In this context the names are all unavailable. If it was decided for one reason or another that the venue conformed to that of 'publication', the names would appear to be nomen nude for various reasons as stated in responses. One person looked up Magnijuxta purpuravena in Zoobank and found no entry. The only puzzle here is how two seasoned taxonomists appear to have overlooked this situation. Obviously a full paper was anticipated, but did not yet eventuate. Anyway, grateful for the very helpful clarifications of the context.
It's not immediately critical for me, although if I were to refer in the future to these taxa, does that presumably mean that I could not refer to these names, at least in a journal following the Code? Otherwise presumably I could refer to the names even if unavailable in terms of the code? The record is very significant biogeographically, being part of a trans-Pacific pattern, and significant in terms of location being on a former island arc remnant. These are very tiny moths and would not be surprising that they are easily overlooked yet more widespread in Central and South America.
Cheers, John
