Dear Taxacomers,
I personally stay away from all MDPI journals and I recommend you to do the
same. I have been told that it is "blacklisted" in Spain but I have no
further information on this particular (happy to hear specific details).
One major EU soil fauna project also discussed MDPI and decided to stay
away.

Dear Dr. Bekkouche,
Have you discussed this special issue with your institution? Is your
institution informed about the growing concern on MDPI? Did they explicitly
support you being a Guest Editor for MDPI despite all the controversies?
How does MDPI reward guest editors, if at all? Please, share this
information with us. It would be good to know whether publishing with MDPI
is officially supported by some EU institutions and which institutions are
those. Maybe we are worrying unnecessarily while we could be editing for
and publishing with MDPI anyway?
