Taxacom: Reptile Database GitHub?

Raymond,
You have lost sight or ignore what the Taxacom forum is all about ? about
topics, not about what one may perceive of people's personal character or
lack of it. In a public forum, attacks on scientific activity, theory,
practice etc (with explanation of the basis) are fair game and one may be
critical as one would like. But at the same time one would aim to be
respectful of individuals in any debate/discussion in this venue. Take a
page out of the periodic panbiogeographical discussions where there are
some intensely opposing viewpoints about the very scientific validity and
choices of some research programs ? but this intensity is focused on the
issues themselves, not about making aspersions about motives and morality
of those individuals (unless those individuals make explicit declaration on
those matters).
Your latest contribution sinks into an angry childish rant. It's
understandable for people to get angry about what should or should not
happen. But that is a personal concern only, and for Taxacom (if I may have
the temerity to make a representation of the forum as such) it is
irrelevant and inappropriate. I would be surprised if it did not
transgresses Taxacom guidelines.
