Dear colleagues,

With this message we'd like to kindly ask you to promote the following
message to your Taxacom mailing list.
Although self-described, it's about a questionnaire we try to send to
as many colleagues as possible to gather their needs for biodiversity
information and the means by which they need it.

All the best,

Christos.

"Dear colleagues,

I am writing to kindly ask you to fill in the questionnaire for the
BiCIKL User Requirements: https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fzfrmz.eu%2FHUEpuvRio9J1mErqm9Sp&data=04%7C01%7Ctaxacom%40lists.ku.edu%7C508df611518648268f1708da196efb05%7C3c176536afe643f5b96636feabbe3c1a%7C0%7C0%7C637850262317494400%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=7NHmwLm6Oc83n6BzGx9tJCKTg6mGZxa5oBouHyY5ouk%3D&reserved=0
and also distribute it to your contacts and professional networks.

This questionnaire aims to identify gaps and trends in the ways in
which biodiversity scientists access and use data in their research,
by asking participants to describe use cases from their previous or
projected work experience. The most appealing use cases will be
invited to the open call for Trans-national access projects supported
by the BiCIKL project.

BiCIKL is an EU project that aims to provide access and tools for
seamless linking between the data along the biodiversity research
cycle: specimens > sequences > species > analytics > publications >
biodiversity knowledge graph > re-use. BiCIKL will develop and
implement new methods and workflows for an integrated access to
harvesting, liberating, linking, accessing and re-using of
subarticle-level data (specimens, material citations, samples,
sequences, taxonomic names, taxonomic treatments, figures, tables)
extracted from literature.
