[Taxacom] Re-publication of biodiversity monographs in advanced open access

Dear Taxacomers,

I think it is worth pointing your attention to the re-publication of Flora
Malesiana (vol. 14) <http://ab.pensoft.net/articles.php?id=1141>  in an
advanced open access edition on the new Advanced Books
<http://advancedbooks.org> platform launched yesterday.

This is not a new revised edition, but a semantically enhanced and richly
linked open access re-publication of the original edition of 2000,
elaborated in cooperation with Naturalis, Plazi and BGBM.

Most importantly, the markup effort of the original text resulted not just
in HTML re-publication and enhancement, but also in data extraction for
further re-use.
