[Taxacom] Echinochloa research

I'm a research associate at the university of Ghent (Belgium), department of
plant production. We're starting up a research project concerning the intra-
and interspecies variability of Echinochloa species in Belgium. Echinochloa
crus-galli and E. muricata var. microstachya are established weeds in the
region (especially in corn fields) but possibly, not all variability is
detected. I'm looking for people who can provide me different kinds of
Echinochloa seed. We've already collected some (sub)species and varieties
but some are lacking and it would be useful to have good reference material
from different origins.

Does someone have viable seeds of Echinochloa species available?

If so, which kinds? Can it be obtained by us? I'm especially interested in
subspecies and varieties of Echinochloa muricata en E. crus-galli but also
closely related species.

Sincerely,

Sofie Claerhout
