A fly holotype is labeled with "Obrilonys" and "Jan" on its label , and the original description states "Obrilonys , Brazil". Neither year nor name of collector is given. I cannot find this locality and wonder if anybody would have a clue? The species is widespread in tropical South America. Thomas Pape - Natural History Museum of Denmark
