good morning folks:
sorry to cross post. i hope this goes out on all 4 list servers.
it is with great pleasure that i announce some major changes and growth in the ucfc - bug closet.
dr. hojun song <mailto:song at mail.ucf.edu>song at mail.ucf.edu
has just joined the faculty of the university of central florida as:
assistant professor
curator of ucf collection arthropods (ucfc)
department of biology
dr song comes to us from byu. he has many great ideas and plans for the future development and growth of the collection. way way beyond the scope of anything i could have, or was able to do.
shawn kelly, grad student (coleoptera) will continue as collection manager.
i will gracefully (?) creep over into a corner and do other things within the collection that i have been meaning to do for the last 20 years.
i thank you all for your help and support to the effort here. i am so very pleased that at long last the department has an entomologist and one that has a vital interest and concern in and with the growth of the collection. i ask that all of you will be as kind and generous to dr song as you have been to me during this conception, gestation, and birthing process of the collection and the cause of entomology at this university.
cheers!
