Taxacom: Taxacom Digest, Vol 229, Issue 7

Dear all,

Thanks Guoyi Zhang for the comment regarding the need of a journal allowing
a quick publication of nomenclatural and taxonomic information.

Such a journal already exists, under the title "Bionomina". It is
published by Magnolia Press, the publisher of Zootaxa; Phytotaxa and other
journals. Its editorial board is composed of competent taxonomists, its
delays of review and publication are short, it allows open access and is
easily accessible. It is an open forum for opinion papers discussing
difficult issues of zoological nomenclature which are not always accepted
in other journals.

By the way, I draw attention to its last published issue, the Editorial of
which calls for contributions discussing some basic questions related to
"taxonomic vandalism".

Best wishes,

Alain Dubois
