Presenting some thoughts about the basic nature of
(scientific) names, and how they interact with their
environment (nomenclatural, taxonomical, world at
large). Accepting a risk of stating the overly obvious,
I tried to phrase these thoughts as straightforward
and simple as possible (but not simpler than that),
in a paper that should not be too long.
