Taxacom: description of a new species as a replacement name

Vazrick,

Although unorthodox, Kemal & Ko?ak (2005) described a species that did 
not have an available name in a Code compliant manner. It would be 
easier to introduce a new replacement name, but in that case they could 
not designate a holotype and paratypes, as the syntypes of maxima 
Staudinger, 1901 would automatically become syntypes of the replacement 
name.

I have not seen the Errata of Weidenhoffer & Bozano (Nov. 2007), but 
they were incorrect in stating that uighurica Kemal & Ko?ak, 2005 was a 
replacement name for maxima Staudinger, 1901. The name was described as 
a new species and ottostaudingeri Weidenhoffer & Bozano, 2007 is a 
junior synonym.
