Taxacom: [KU SUSPECT SPAM] Family-level names question

Given a hypothetical zoological family with several subfamilies, the
largest of which is named Examplinae, with type genus Examplus. The
Examplinae contain many genera classified in multiple tribes, but there is
no tribe named Examplini. The genus Examplus is (correctly) assigned to the
tribe Otherini, with type genus Otherus.

Now within the Otherini, a presumed group of genera including Examplus is
to be recognized as a new subtribe. As Examplus is the oldest and best
known genus in the proposed subtribe, I would wish to name the subtribe the
Examplina. Would this be proper? It seems somehow wrong to do so when the
family name is also based on Examplus but Examplus is not in a tribe
Examplini.

Thanks for any guidance.

Michael
