Members of this list may be interested in a survey on the use of persistent identifiers in cultural heritage collections, part of the work of the Heritage PIDs project https://tanc-ahrc.github.io/HeritagePIDs/ (part of the UK program "Towards a National Collection”).

Natural history collections are considered part of our cultural heritage, so this survey may be of interest to members of the TAXACOM community who are exploring assigning persistent identifiers (PIDs) to specimens in their collection.

The survey is collecting both individual and organisational responses and a summary of all the questions is available on the first page if you wish to consult with colleagues. The survey will remain open until 1 November 2021 and can be accessed at this link:https://forms.gle/AkX2XpoB5H9XQ5v17

If you have any questions about the survey please contact Frances Madden at the British Library: Frances.Madden at bl.uk<mailto:Frances.Madden at bl.uk>

Regards,

Rod
