[Taxacom] Automated monitoring of the taxonomic literature

Hi all,

I think there is a distinction between tools intended for human readers
(such as Google Scholar alerts) and those intended for automated
consumption by other tools or systems (such as Rod's tool), which hopefully
contain machine readable content in a more structured form. Basically the
usefulness of the latter will depend on the availability to find things
that (e.g.) Google Scholar does not, and/or the ability to mark it up
further with tags not present in the original work, that improve
retrievability and cross linkages to other relevant content (common
indexing terms etc.) There may be room for both but the proof of the
pudding will be later!
