One of the ironies of the Lep article is that it uses fossils to refute previous contentions (not mine of course) that Leps with a proboscis did not evolve until angiosperms in the Cretaceous as a clear demonstration that the oldest fossil is just the oldest fossil. But then they forget the lesson by assuming that because there are no Triassic angiosperms fossils there were no Triassic angiosperms! How cute! Anyway, it is not as if there are no fossil claims out there for Triassic angiosperms.e.g. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpls.2013.00344/full John Grehan <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail&utm_term=icon> Virus-free. www.avast.com <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail&utm_term=link> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2>
