Hi all.

Zoological Museum of Moscow University is now intensifying work on acquiring, storage and use of tissue samples (frozen, alcohol etc.) for genetic research in taxonomy. From a museum point of view, there is one not quite clear issue: how to catalogue such kind of collection materials, taking into consideration that their use is destructive and leads eventually to disappearance of the samples.
I would be grateful for any practical advice and/or links to the relevant documents concerning curatorial practice, as well as for direct contacts with the respective curators, if possible.
