[Taxacom] Aenetus versus Achladaeus

Genius of “and” - we need both originals AND the transcriptions if we are to do useful work. Images are hard to compute with, text is much easier. Scans of pages and labels gives you a nice, human-readable image gallery. Transcriptions (OCR) gives you GBIF and searchable BHL, amongst other nice things. #feedthemachines

The original source of everything is what 'we' need to see:

Page images of original descriptions - not transcribed descriptions (which have their uses but not as a substitute for the original)

and

Images of original museum/herbarium/fungarium/etc labels - not transcribed details (which have their uses but not as a substitute for the original)

And, yes, in the current offline version of LepIndex, Aenetus is the valid name, as we updated that group from Gaden Robinson's checklist and the Moths of Australia Checklist.

Whatever you do, please keep the "raw card index with images" available. It is about only existing source for an amateur like me to start finding the original literature references. Occasionally there are some are errors or cryptic references, but at least it gives some hints from where to look (using BHL/Internet archive).

I second that, it’s the ability to discover the supporting literature that makes LepIndex valuable.
