Hi Mike.  It's been a long time since our paths crossed.

As a retired person still very active (4 papers and 3 new names in 2014) and going broke supporting myself doing taxonomy, I'm ready to put my toe in the waters of auctions.  i've been hesitant until now, but seeing the eBay thing convinced me to go for it.  Why would one want to prohibit honorific names?, and for me, it is _not_ funny - it is 5 maxed out credit cards with no hope of getting any more credit.

As a way to test the waters, I'm donating a moth name to one of my favorite charities this Autumn.  I hope they get a $$ million for it at their annual fund raising auction.  I'll get nothing on this donation except the satisfaction of knowing that us folks without $$ can still give.

Perhaps someone in the 1% at the top will pay for something unique.  I have my fingers crossed.
