Dear Colleagues,

We are very sad to announce that Gerard-Guy Aymonin passed away on the 
6th of May 2014. Botanist and honorary member of the Département 
Systématique et Evolution at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle in 
Paris since his retirement, Monsieur Aymonin spent his entire 
professionnal life at the National Herbarium where he conducted research 
on plants and shared his passion for almost 60 years. He was dedicated 
to botany and served as the herbarium's institutional memory for many 
decades.

He will be missed by us all.
