[Taxacom] Unaccepted Varieties

Dear Taxacom,

I was very interested to see any answers to this inquiry about 
theplantlist.org's standards for acceptance of varieties. Furthermore, 
could anyone recommend one or more publications that explain or critique 
infraspecific taxonomy of plants?
