The nomenclatural achievements of Paul Silva are not
limited to his longtime membership of the Editorial
Committee (or to his longtime membership of the
Committee for Algae). He also actively made many
proposals to amend the Code (some eighty if I count
right), leading to many small and big changes, the most
noticeable of which will be the adoption into the Code of
a Glossary (first proposed to the 1991 Congress and
then again to the 2005 Congress). As distinguished
a track record as anyone could wish for.

Paul
