P?l Kitaibel was the most significant early scientist, first of all 
botanist, of the Carpathian Basin and the author of a number of vascular 
plant taxa, mostly together with Adam Waldstein (learn more here:

The home page is in Hungarian, but it is possible to search for words 
(=szavak), specimen ID (=azonos?t?), original name (=eredeti n?v), text 
of label (c?dulasz?veg), revising person (=revide?l?) and for the taxon 
name after revision(s) (=rev?zi? ut?ni n?v). Use wildcards as *: any 
text; !: one character; ?: in place of 0 or 1
