[Taxacom] unidentified scarab larvae

Dear List,

 

I know that identifying Coleoptera through larvae is in most cases a
difficult or an impossible task, but I wonder if anybody can give
suggestions on the identity of the species depicted on these photographs:

It could be a Melolonthinae species? Size is 2-3 cm and It was collected in
Madeira Island.
