[Taxacom] George F. Estabrook

In looking for the Windows Version of George F. Estabrook's HYWIN 
program (Hypothesizing  hYbrids  using  Weighted  INtermediacy; TAXON 
45:647 1996 (with N. L. Gil-ad and A. A. Reznicek)) I discovered that 
George died on 24 November 2011. The announcement on the University of 
Michigan website is at

All deaths diminish us, but perhaps someone who knew George better than 
I did can write something here about his work, and about George the person.
