[Taxacom] New internet presence for the Biology Department Herbarium at Texas A&M (TAMU)

[Monique Reed]

We are pleased to announce a return to service for the TAMU Herbarium website.

Our main page is now at http://www.bio.tamu.edu/courses/biol328/Herbarium/tamuhome.htm

There are links to our virtual field trips, publications, etc.

One of our main offerings is the Vascular Plant Image Gallery, now being hosted by the Cushing Library at Texas A&M: http://repository.tamu.edu/handle/1969.1/97046 Full-text search is available for taxon, location, collector, etc. A "Subjects" search in the left-hand frame brings up a list of families. Please note that the gallery now includes only the 10,000+ images which originate with A&M-associated photographers.

The other very useful item is our specimen data listing: http://www.bio.tamu.edu/courses/biol328/Herbarium/tamu1.htm
