Good to see this valuable resource keeps getting updated!
However, a nitpicking detail: descriptive names are allowed for taxa above the rank of family (not "at and above the rank of order"), so
there can be a descriptive name at the rank of, say, superfamily, or
suborder. In the past the ICBN had indeed an example of a descriptive
name for a suborder.

Onderwerp: [Taxacom] New data base for extant suprageneric vascular plant names
With the successful 2010 publication of "A checklist of familial and suprafamilial names for extant vascular plants" in the sixth volume of Phytotaxa (http://www.mapress.com/phytotaxa/content/2010/pt00006.htm), I have revised my on-line suprageneric files putting all information into a single database (http://www.plantsystematics.org/Reveal/pbio/fam/allspgnames.html) which will be updated continuously. In particular, this file attempts to summarize names at the ranks of suborder, subfamily, tribe and subtribe for extant vascular plants published on or after 1900 (an effort not yet complete) and to update and correct entries for names at other ranks. Importantly, the new data base contains a number of minor corrections noted since the Phytotaxa paper. Information about names not presently in the data base would be appreciated and ideally that information should include places of publication and if rare or uncommon, a copy of the paper. As before, descriptive names (permitted at and above the rank of order) are not included.
