[Taxacom] WoRMS: when biodiversity databases go wrong

I recently ran across a mess of confused databases relating to a
junior homonym. So far WoRMS has actually responded; the issue for
them was merely that the species page that I saw did not clearly
identify the genus as a homonym as well as subjective synonym (that
was addressed on the genus page). Certain other major databases
assigned records of the Eocene gastropod Papillina to the junior
homonym, a clionaid sponge.
