Well, Triticum aestivum was the main moving factor, with the circumstances
that threatened it weighing heavily (the two names having equal priority,
with the "First Reviser", to borrow a term, being decisive, there being no 
guarantee that a new First Reviser would not turn up).

The tomato was just an additional factor.
