Mosquitoes Feeding on Corpses in Katrina's Wake

[Robin Leech]

Hi Tacaxomers,

My uncle in Ontario phoned me last night to ask
if it is true that mosquitoes will feed on corpses,
and by this method, spread diseases to live people.

He said that he had heard this for the past 5 days
on CNN and other news agencies, and that this
is what is happening in the wake of Katrina.

I had not heard these reports. Does any mosquito-ologist
know if this is even likely?
