plant name help: "Microlina"?

Hi, all. After struggling for some time online with various botanical
indices, I've come to the conclusion I need some help with the
following:

I have some larvae I reared from a plant in Brazil some years ago;
the plant was from a mid-elevation sclerophyll semi-cerrado scrubland
that was rich in endemic taxa (among them numerous Vochysiaceae and
Malpighiaceae), and was identified by a botanist there as belonging
to the genus "Microlina". This name evidently does not exist, so I'm
trying to figure out what the real name of the plant might be. My
recollection was that it was a medium-sized shrub with extremely
narrow, shining, rigid leaves, but this may not necessarily be true.

Anyone have any ideas what plants in that habitat might have been
called "Microlina"?

TIA,
