Hi everyone, I am looking for a little help from our entomologists out there. I recently completed a study of pollination biology of Andean Solanaceae. I collected a moth visiting one of my species -- it is just over 1cm long and has strange structures behind its head that are reminiscent of football players' shoulder pads. I have put a bunch of pictures on the web (the links are below). Does anyone know the family and genus this animal belongs to? Thanks in advance for your help, Stacey http://www.botany.wisc.edu:81/baum/images/moth/moth.jp http://www.botany.wisc.edu:81/baum/images/moth/moth_headon.jpg http://www.botany.wisc.edu:81/baum/images/moth/moth_scale.jpg http://www.botany.wisc.edu:81/baum/images/moth/moth_thorax1.jpg http://www.botany.wisc.edu:81/baum/images/moth/moth_thorax2.jpg http://www.botany.wisc.edu:81/baum/images/moth/moth_underside.JPG http://www.botany.wisc.edu:81/baum/images/moth/moth1.JPG
