Flora of Colombia

Dear colleagues
May I know the number of species of plants recorded from Colombia. Statement in Woodland (Contemporary Plant Systematicsw, 1991 page 470) mentions 'small country like Columbia has an estimated 45,000 different species with a few botanists to study the flora'.
