Sorry to hear your oft-cited page is not online at the moment.  The page at http://home.earthlink.net/~misaak/taxonomy/taxEtym.html#ribaldry is not nearly as complete.

One entry they could add to the "ribalddry" section involves the entomologist (?) who thought about going for one of the shortest generic names.  He had planned to name the genus "I", but thought better of it, deciding he never wanted to have to write "I have small genitalia."
