Go to the NatureServe web site
(http://www.natureserve.org/explorer/servlet/NatureServe?post_processes=Post
Reset&loadTemplate=nameSearchSpecies.wmt&Type=Reset) - search for all US
states (except HI) and all Canadian Provinces, and for status GX, TX, GH and
GH. You will get 94 hits, then look at the detailed records for some
insights into the status.

Can anyone give me some examples of vascular plants that are known to have
gone extinct in the continental US/Can since colonial times? (Not counting
Franklinia).

thanks
