Knowing the individual I would say he is never at a loss for long. Give the guy
a break. He was talking off the cuff about preliminary impressions to a
newspaper journalist. Hold your panbiogeographic munitions for the peer-
reviewed version.

The theme John seems more interested in pursuing than the topic  he is
using  as a stalking horse is  exhaustively covered in the "censorship" thread
from Dec 2001.   I bailed out then and  I don't intend to respond to more of
the same now.
