Jumping back to a post of someone's recently. The statement was made that
we are apes in suits. I am a creationist and agree with this. I try to
get that across to my more "religious" creationist colleagues. This is
physiological reality. Y'all will agree with me there. But there is
another "beast" that on the inside of ape with the suit on. I always tell
people that we have a readers digest version of origins in Genesis chapter
one and don't get to the really important thing till chapter 2. This where
God breaths a unique kind of cognoscente life into a humanoid. There is a
creature under the suit which is an "ape". There is a creature on the
inside of the ape - that is spiritual. Two realities meet that most see as
in conflict. I say they are mutually exclusive and thus not conflicting.

PS. Lets also not forget that "God himself" in Genesis 1 atributes all
living things as originating from "the earth". God says the earth brought
them forth - not him. We might say: render to science that which is
science's and to God that which is spiritual :-)
