Info on deep sea adaptations

Here are a couple of literature citations (plus a search engine suggestion):
     (1) James J. Childress, 1995. "Are there physiological and biochemical
adaptations of metabolism in deep-sea animals?". Trends in Ecology and
Evolution, Vol. 10:30-36.
     (2) Allen G. Gibbs, 1997. "Biochemistry at depth". Fish Physiology,
Vol. XVI, pp. 239-278.
     (3) And although many adaptations are due to life at high pressures,
many others are due to low oxygen levels. For specific information on that,
I would suggest going to your favorite search engine and do a search for:
minimum oxygen zone adaptations. I tried this at google.com, and I got over
2,700 hits (many of which looked very promising). Good luck.
        ------- Cheers,
                 Ken Kinman
