Right on, Ron.

NO, Chris Thompson DID NOT write the 4th edition. And he wasn't even a
major player on the Editorial Committee, those honors go to David Ride and
Philip Tubbs

But I do believe I understand better than some process by which the 4th
Code was developed, etc. And thereby might have something more than an
"psychic" insight into what the intent of the Editorial Committee  was and
what it TRIED to do in its revision.

Someone emailed me privately to point out that "Chris Thompson wrote the
4th edition of the ICZN code".  My response was - no he did not. A
committee wrote it.
