Dear taxacomers:
We are wood people and not too familiar with the prevailing usage (or
strict rules) of how to properly cite botanical names. The question which
has popped up is how to handle sectional names as for instance in the genus
Pinus, whether with a capital (first) letter *and* italicized; or
capitalized and *not* italicized; or *not* capitalized *and* italicized
(this is our currently used version); or *neither* capitalized or italicized.
I would be very grateful for expert advice in this matter. Thanks!
HG Richter
