Triticum taxonomy

[Laura Morrison]

An English translation of the taxonomic monograph of Triticum published
in 1979 by the N. I. Vavilov Institute of Plant Industry (VIR), St.
Petersburg, Russia (cited as Dorofeev et al.) is currently underway.  An
announcement describing this project has been published in the Wheat
Information Service (vol. 90:52-53) and can also be found on GrainGenes

A Project Fund was started by a $5000 donation by CIMMYT and is
currently in need of matching funds.  For persons or research entities
interested in contributing, please note the following:

1. Non-EEC citizens: donations in USA Dollars, Deutschmarks, or
Eurodollars by cheque made payable to  GFK-Gatersleben, Germany

2. EEC citizens: donations in Eurodollars or Deutschmarks by Eurocheque
