[Re:] evolutionary subjects vs evolutionary methods

Some suggestion concerning evolutionary methodology (though I guess experts in
philosophy must know it better than I do):

1.) Suppose that life evolved only once or a very small number of times.
2.) Suppose that similarity is, via homology, somehow related to common descent.
3.) Suppose that if there is no good explanation, there is, at least, a best
explanation (which is better than the rest). And this one is searched.
4.)Uniformity principle. Explanations are produced by empirical methods.

I have some difficulties concerning the use of the words "subject" and "object"
in English, and got pretty confused by your use.
