Dear All:

While I do not wish to see a TAXACOM discussion break down to a
discussion of the validity of religion, I cannot sit idly by and
allow disparaging remarks to go unchallenged.

As a Christian who is also a scientist, I too see evolutionary theory
as the best theory available for the origin of life as we know it.  I
do not see that acceptance of evolution as the best theory and my
belief in God as antithetical.

Please do not spread unfounded, untested beliefs about Fundamentalist
Christians across TAXACOM.  Keep an open mind about the beliefs of
Christians, as you would ask us to do about your ideals.
