                Dear taxacomers,

I want to throw in my points well.

Talking about conservation means, more or less, talking about the =
protection of nature in a world increasingly dominated by man made =
environments.
Man-made-environments are structured according to a user-server design, =
they are subjected to financial investments with the expectation of =
maximizing profit. Thus, man-made environments usually operate far away =
from any more or less natural equilibrium. Depending on the kind of use, =
man-made environments destroy to some degree future options in the same =
area (land degradation).

Especially in tropical countries, there are still a lot of =
non-man-made-environments, i. e. nature. On the other hand, ambiental =
degradation and devastation goes more rapidly in the tropics than in the =
already industrialized countries.

To evaluate conservation in the light of possible present and future =
options, one has ' to take into account ecological functions as well.

I once read in a journal (I think it was "Conservation Biology"), that =
taxonomy (or phylogeny) is the vocabulary of it all, but to make a nice =
text, you need grammar and phrases as well. They are provided by =
ecology.

So far, (sorry for my somewhat artificial english) =20
