electronic databases, multiple-entry-keys

        Hello dear taxacomers,

        I'm sitting here with the free sample of CAB-International
        of the CABIKEY to Soil-Dwelling-Termites.
        On the DELTA-list I read that the new DELTA-programs are out
        there in the internet. Resumedly, it will be or is already
        standard for the taxonomist to deal with electronic databases
        of taxonomic character storage.

        I am quite new to this. And, beside the tecnical problems to
        deal with an ever rising amount of computer software, this poses
        conceptual problems of how to deal with large character databases
        and how to conduct specimen-identification by computer with these
        databases. Anyone out there has interesting references or opinions
        about this topic ?
